The roads are generally challenging and we'll be effectively taking the back way to the Sunshine Coast before looping back to finish up at Cabooluture. You can expect roughly 2 and a half to 3 hours of driving so be prepared with drinks in the car and some nibblies to keep you going.
We'll be stopping along the way at a couple of look outs for everybody to catch a breather and stretch their legs. Bring some warm clothing as it gets very cold at night in the mountains. I'll have a full tool kit with me but I encourage people to bring anything that they might need should an emergency occur.
A 2-way radio tuned to channel 16 on the night is highly recommended. This will ensure that everyone is aware of any hazards or issues quickly and efficiently at all times. If you need information on where to purchase a compatible radio please send a PM to benking (me). It needs to be a UHF 40 Channel hand held or in car unit. I have a large in car radio so everyone should be able to hear me at all times.
