Hi All,

Another great month for Qldcruising.net. First of all welcome to all of our new members this month. If you joined after the 1st of March, you probably won't have seen one of these before. This is just a quick newsletter that we send out to all of our members to provide a snapshot of what's happening in the coming month. We type this up over a few days and make sure that we have the most content possible to keep you in the loop.

Sponsors Update:

Meguiars have kindly sent us another huge delivery of kit to give away to our members at cruises and official events. The delivery included over $700 worth of kit including some of the newest products for 2010. We have also a number of Meguiars bags, stubby holders, stickers and even some of their HUGE Gold Class bags worth around $100 each. This is our second year with Meguiars as one of our major sponsors and so we would like to take this moment to thank them for their support and contribution to our organisation.

Website Update:

The site has remained pretty static this month. We haven't had a great deal of change, however we will be starting work on a new layout within the next couple of weeks. We would like to add a calendar function, drop down menus for easier access and redesign our homepage (http://www.qldcruising.net). We have added a new section dedicated to our "SPAM" thread. Posts are not counted towards your overall post count in this section anymore. This is good because it means you can talk about ... anything really - it's basically an oversize chat room. Sunday 18th April - Toowoomba Cruise Picnic Point
This event will be huge. We'll be doing a BBQ, meet and greet for new members & soft drinks on site. Bring your footy, basket ball or what ever else you like. There will be Meguiars prize packs on the day and we will be taking professional photos of every car infront of the Meguiars banner (with owners permission). Prizes will go to the following:

* Cleanest Car
* Furthest Distance traveled to be there
* Biggest donation on the day
* Most friends with cars brought along to the cruise

21st April - Wednesday Night Drive to Drive
We're going to the Big Easy Golf Driving Range to hit a few balls. Prices in the official topic. We'll be having a couple of Meguiars prizes on the day:

* Furthest distance hit
* First person to hit the van and make the light flash (light flashes when balls hit it)

25th April 2010 - Skidpan Day
Qldcrusising is hitting up the skidpan thanks to project.r.racing. We'll be going along with AstinaGT and a couple of other groups. The cost is $98 per car and it's going to be a whole lot of fun.

COMING SOON

The Queensland Cruising Annual Dyno Day is nearly upon us again. Beebs has begun the search for a good workshop. Last year we held the event at Bob Romano, however we are open to suggestions and will be taking into account a number of factors before choosing our next workshop. We may end up going back to Bob Romano's if they are the best fit. Please get your name down ASAP and register your interest so that we can gauge the number of cars expected to run. This year we'll be running a Show n' Shine for those of you not putting your car up on the dyno. There will be Meguiars prize packs and showbags from various automotive product manufacturers. We'll also have trophies on the day as well as the famous "Wooden Spoon" prize.

Car of the month

This is a new section we'll be running in the newsletter every month.

This month's car of the month goes to one of our new members - spanku & his EVO6. I think everyone will agree that this car is just an absolute beast! Brilliant work on this car mate and congratulations from the Qldcruising team.

Modifications: Stock
Future Plans: More power, more boost.
BHP/KW (If known): 289kW @ 26psi (Stock bottom end)
Quarter Mile Time (If known):, Haven't run it with current setup but ran a 13.9 @ 105mph when it was dead stock, I should see 13.9 @ 125mph now.
