STOLEN R33 SKYLINE - CAR FOUND - WRITE-OFF

Postby MISS33 on July 19th, 2010, 12:36 pm

Hi guys, my R33 Skyline was stolen from my place in the early hours of Saturday 17 July 2010 Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_21

I live at Hillcrest on the south side of Brisbane and am trying to get word out to anyone possible to keep an eye or ear out for anything about my car. It's black with black wheels (chrome outers) and blue and white VORK RAYS stickers on each wheel. The rego is 648 IVA although I suspect the plates would have been changed by now.

I've got some additional info on the car - the intercooler is a Pro Stealth Cooler, it has a 3" dump fitted to a 3.5" front pipe, it has a brand new 100 cell catalytic converter and the strut brace supports are painted subaru anodised blue and there is a drfit sticker on the brace.

Pretty sure they were after this car in particular as I also have a Clubsport that was parked beside the Skyline and it was untouched. I have attached a pic and would appreciate any info on my car. There is a slight dint in the passenger door that looks like it may have come from another door hitting it. There is also a GTS- (last T is missing) sticker on the back right hand side above the tail lights. There is nothing really distinctive about my car. It's just a nice clean car and I am absolutely devo that some low life thought he needed it more than I do. I am offering a $1000 reward for the safe return of my car.

If anyone has any info, please contact me on 0418 630 495 (Belinda) or missxb@hotmail.com

Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. I have insurance but that's not the point. I don't want a payout, I just want my car back.

Good to hear the clubsport was unharmed. Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_06

Was it insured for market or agreed value?

It's insured for agreed value which is one good thing I guess. I just hope it's found. And yeah, I'm glad they didn't steal the clubby too. Was terrified on Saturday night they were gonna come back and knock it off too.

I reckon Skylines would be more common than Clubsports. A clubsport is not a clapped out falcodore.

The Skyline is more common. That's because the Aussie Flanno wearing boffin is a dying breed. But not that theres anything wrong with Aussie Flanno wearing Boffin's. Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_31

HAHA I thought that the aussie flanno wearing bogan was upgrading from commodores to skylines, that's all.

Thanks guys. The whole thing is pretty depressing. There was a possible sighting at Balmoral in Brissy yesterday but I'm not going to get my hopes up about that. And I saw the top half of a black skyline with the same rear wing as mine heading north on the Gateway yesterday morning but again, that is not enough for me to get excited about.

Very sorry to hear, i'll do my best to remember the car when driving about! Time to upgrade my security i think, something along the lines of if someone gets in my car and their ass doesn't match my ass groove in the seat, you get a punch in the balls.

I like the sound of that type of security. Some parts that could have come off my car were listed on boost cruising Sunday night. I know they could have come off a thousand cars but it's local so I'm trying to suss it out. Fingers crossed!!

@ Dave: Removable steering wheel/boss kit combo. Take steering wheel with you. Or just remove the fuel pump fuse or something else small. They get in, drive 5 metres car stops think "Immobilizer " and run.

You have to button start my car, i don't think they'd be able to find it ^^ Gemi has a fuel pump kill switch though. People would just normally think it's doing what a Gemi always does.........shit itself.

unfortunately the chances of seeing it around brisbane will be very slim considering it sounds like they had no problem stealing it, sounds like they've got experience. I'm very sorry for your loss, but i think you should start searching for spares being sold in brisbane, ebay, trade n post etc. Just keep an eye out for parts you can identify, atleast if you have some success the people who stole it will be put to justice and a good chance you could get your car back or parts of it... as the case may be. You never know your luck though.
